Kitchener Exterminator is a booking line. It is not a pest control company, and it is not a directory that sells your enquiry to a list of bidders. It connects to one local, licensed pest control company working across the city — the downtown apartments and rooming houses, the century brick homes in Cedar Hill and around Victoria Park, the 1960s-80s subdivisions in Forest Heights and Stanley Park, the new builds in Doon South and Huron Park — plus Waterloo, Breslau, Doon and the rural edge toward Woolwich and Wilmot.

Pest control attracts a particular kind of selling. A price over the phone for a problem nobody has seen. A spray-and-leave visit with no inspection, no follow-up and no answer to where the mice are getting in. A monthly contract sold for a single wasp nest. A treatment for mice when the noise in the attic was a raccoon. Anyone who has dealt with a pest problem in a rental building will recognise at least one of those.

The point of this site is a straight line to a company that inspects before it treats, tells you what the pest actually is, puts the plan and the preparation list in writing, uses registered products at the label rate, schedules the follow-up as part of the job, and says plainly when the problem is a different trade or does not need a program at all.

What licensed means here

Pest control is a licensed trade in Ontario. Anyone applying pesticides for hire must hold the applicable exterminator licence under the province's pesticide legislation, and the company this line connects you to holds it. Technicians can show the licence on request, and you should ask — of us and of anyone else who quotes you. The Ontario government's pesticides page explains the licensing and the province's cosmetic pesticide rules. This site does not publish licence numbers; the card in the technician's hand is the proof.

What we will not do: publish reviews we do not have, invent a rating or a star count, quote a fixed price on a website, claim a certification for any product brand, or sell your phone number. This site is new. It says what it can do and nothing more.

What the company handles

• Bed bug treatment: inspection, preparation guidance, residual or heat treatment, follow-up, and adjoining units in multi-unit buildings

What it does not handle

This site covers insects and rodents. Wildlife — raccoons, squirrels, bats, skunks and birds — is a different trade with different rules and is not covered, and you will be told at the inspection if that is what you have. Termite pre-treatment for new construction is not offered. Honey bees are not treated; a swarm or a colony gets referred to a beekeeper. Repairs that the pests have made necessary — masonry on a stone foundation, a rotted sill, grading and drainage — are other trades. Tenant and landlord responsibilities are set out by the Landlord and Tenant Board, property standards complaints go through the City of Kitchener, and anyone working in your home should be able to show WSIB coverage and liability insurance. You will be told when a job belongs to someone else rather than sold something that will not fix it.

How this works

When you call 226-400-4318 or send the form, your details go straight to the pest control company's office. They arrange an inspection, confirm what the pest is and where it is coming from, then put the treatment plan, the preparation list and the follow-up schedule in writing before anything is applied. The work is done under their own Ontario exterminator licence and insurance. Your information is not sold, not shared with a list of competing companies, and there is no markup added to your bill for the introduction.
